[2022 Korea's Best Patent Awards] PRENEU

The "automatic calibration system technology" developed by PRENEU (CEO Lee Jong-kyung), a company specializing in unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturing, core components, and ground control system development, won the Grand Prize for Korea's Outstanding Patent in the second half of 2022.

The automatic calibration technology is the first patented technology commercialized by PRENEU in Korea that can significantly shorten the preparation time for drone operation by conducting automatic calibration using sensors before drone flight through the configuration of the drone's internal sensor unit.

PRENEU, which started its unmanned aerial vehicle business in 2017, has launched several models of products, including VTOL fixed wings, electric helicopters and multicopters.

In addition, core technologies such as FC (Flight Controller), PM (Power Management), and CC (Companion Computer), which are essential for manufacturing and operating unmanned aircraft, have been developed based on their own capabilities.

"We expect that it will be an essential base technology for autonomous driving of drones and will be able to make a substantial contribution to the growth of the drone market," an official from PRENEU said. "PRENEU will continue to strive for research and development to solve issues and grow in the drone market."
